from Choker to Lariat necklace
Crochet necklaces. Glass beads are thread on cotton yarn. Each single bead gets crochet. When I start to thread the glass beads on the cotton yarn every glass bead is placed exactly on the spot I need it to be shown.
The designs are geometric, dotted or gradient. Crochet glass beads turn on the outer side of the tube. The tube itself is hollow.
The beads I work with are mainly 1,45mm in height, the smallest beads are 0,97mm high.
Longer necklaces without a clasp provide continuous design and all around perfect view.
Shorter crochet glass necklaces are equipped with a strong magnetic clasp that I produce myself. The shell is done on a turning lathe and the magnets pressed into the shell. The materials I use are brass or aluminum. The jewelry itself can be washed in lukewarm water with mild soap. The clasp, if you want to avoid patina, needs now and then some cleaning. If you clean the clasp and do not want to clean the clasp again just paint the surface with clear varnish.
Ringlet necklaces. Ringlet necklaces are flexible stretchable necklaces made of glass beads without clasp . Simply pull over your head and crumple like locks of hair – pull – shape . This way the necklace can nestle to the neck . It feels soft like a scarf and does not choke. This jewelry is voluminous with very low weight . Multicolored glass beads are beaded on a special formed metal wire. The necklace can be stretched and gets its form back as you form it. As only glass beads touch the skin, even allergic persons can wear this kind of jewelry . From any view perfect, because no clasp disturb the picture.
